Quiet March Turns Chaotic

The week began with the ticking off of a 2013 goal which was to reach 5000 total views on my Blogger profile which was achieved on the 21st and at the time of writing I am on 5150 with my next target being set at 7500 and also the goal of 500 total posts is going well at this is my 296th post overall.

The Xbox360 has sort of suffered a lull with the below videos of Fifa Street being the only action of the week and the Nike Fuel progress has stuttered with my Fuelband developing a software issue and having to be sent away so more news on that next month (not likely to have a new one by Monday).

That was the least of my worries as on Saturday night after going out for a drink with my girlfriend and while walking her home, she slipped on the ice twice cutting her knee and terrifying me when she didn't move for a bit after the fall but luckily I was able to get her home and look after her and she is fine after a few days rest.

This month has been a bad one for progress and with only one day left it will not recover so April will need more effort than originally planned so I will see what happens.

March Quietens Down

After a fun packed first few days in March, the month has seen a downturn in the progression towards the 2013 goals proven by the fact that I am posting 13 days after the last post as there has been a period of relaxation during which I have noticed things falling behind schedule so from now on I will return to the days of old as I got more done then.

However, that isn't because I'm single because my relationship with my lovely girlfriend Letitia is stronger than ever but that when we are apart due to one of us working, I will get more done instead of lazing about.

The fact that I have been on the Xbox 360 less than 2 hours across two weeks says it all when in the last week of February I registered 37 hours but playtime can be caught up in the next few days.

One of my goals was to reach a total of 5000 views across my various blogs and I am within 20 of reaching the target on another note, I reached 12,000 views overall on my TheStattoSi  YouTube channel and have added F1 magnets to my collection of magnetised sports which has gone from creating and using about 20 magnets back last August to currently using about 200-300 in rotation.

Hopefully, I will post again before the month reaches its end but we will see what happens.

Blackpool Illuminates March

March began with a nice holiday to Blackpool for four days with my lovely girlfriend Letitia and on the first day we travelled from Wigan via Preston to Blackpool South in glorious sunshine and checked in at the Morrisy Hotel with a lovely welcome and a room with a great view of the sea front.

We took a walk up to the shops and did some shopping then had a chippy tea at the C Fresh chip shop on Bloomfield Road, and we both agreed it was the best we had been to in our lives and then settled in watching TV and cuddling up for the rest of the night.

Saturday morning was an early wake up for a smashing full English breakfast courtesy of the hotel and set us up for a long day which began with a tour of the Blackpool Tower 4D Experience which saw us take in a a superb 4D film showcasing the attractions of Blackpool then the lift up to the top where we explored 360° views from 400ft up.

Following that we went around the Tower Dungeon which was really good and terrified Letitia so much that she clung to my arm for most of the tour and at the end we rode the Extremis ride which is a plunging drop in relation to the Pendle Witch trials.

Next we strolled along the Comedy Carpet which is a collection of jokes and quotes by famous comedians both old and new with 'It's a Cracker and Ooh Betty!' two classic examples of laughter over the years.

We went over to Coral Island arcade which was our second home for the weekend and in one sitting I won 10 key-rings from a single 2p machine and then we toured Madame Tussauds and got some really good pictures and then we watched Wigan v Liverpool online in our hotel and we got KFC for tea before watching Armageddon while cuddled up for the night.

Sunday meant another great breakfast and then we went to the South Pier to try out the arcade and had McDonalds for dinner before going around the Sea Life centre and Coral Island where we won 282 prize tickets which we exchanged for a mini snooker game and giant playing cards set.

As it was our last night we made the most of it and had a lot of fun in the room if you know what I mean before going to sleep cuddled in each others arms. Monday meant we were going home but after a really great holiday which we will never forget and that has allowed us to grow closer and very comfortable with each other.

So we went to the train station and caught the train to Preston then back home via Wigan and relaxed before parting ways for a few hours and then spending the evening together going through pictures and videos from an amazing trip which we hope to do again in the future be it Blackpool or somewhere else.

Two down Ten to Go

2013 has continued to be an improvement on 2012 with goals making massive progress including my relationship going from strength to strength and reaching 120 achievements for the year so far.

As February is only 28 days, the loss of three days compared to January meant less time to progress towards milestones and currently four goals have been completed with hitting one million Nikefuel and completing 20 Xbox games adding to the two mentioned in the January summary.

This month on RunKeeper  I hit 74.7 miles in 21 hours 49 minutes and as a result burned 8750 calories which is down on January but mainly because  I have had a lot of days where I haven't done much walking.
Nike+ also had a decent month as overall 134574 was earned and on the You Tube front there was a slight gain of 1224 views.
