A busy few months has seen this blog portal fall way behind so in an attempt to bridge the gap to the present day (May 2017) there will be a few catch-up posts.
Onto Skem United who began November by exiting the Liverpool Senior Cup with a 2-1 loss to Widnes with a 1-0 loss away to Rushall Olympic the following weekend which completed the goal of three away trips for the year.. A short turnaround saw a 2-1 loss at Stourbridge on Monday before a welcome 2-1 home win against Ilkeston which completed the goal of 30 Skem attendances in 2016. Another cup exit this time at the hands of Colne saw a 3-1 loss in the Integro League Cup before a 1-1 draw at Grantham Town came among a trio of postponements to end the month.
A horror 4-0 loss at Barwell opened December with United ending the game with nine men ( 5th away trip/35th attendance goals completed) but they improved that weekend with a 0-0 draw at Buxton that they were unlucky not to win. Another horror show saw a 4-0 loss on Tuesday at Nantwich Town, a game that saw United stuck in traffic and havig to borrow Town's away kit.
A narrow 2-1 home loss to Rushall Olympic before Christmas saw a budget cut and player exodus which resulted in a mixed team securing a 3-3 draw at Marine in the M58 derby on Boxing day. That was to be the final game of 2016 due to the home game against Matlock Town losing to the bad weather.
As mentioned in the previous post, the foray into potential self-employment was my lack of confidence stall the idea but it may resurface in the future. December ended with a potential mini job as was accepted into the Pitchero Play camera pool with training and filming due to begin in January.
Out and About in 2016 ended the year without missing a single week and with a decent regular audience too. Skem highlights videos at every game continued which played a part in the aforementioned PP job. My volunteering at the BHF F&E store continued past a year of service but the tenure at SARL looked to be ending after being informed to take a break until the new year.

The NFL season was in full swing in November and it was to be a good month for my followed team Washington Redskins with a 26-20 over Minnesota Vikings and superb 42-24 victory over Green Bay Packers before a narrow 31-26 loss to division rivals Dallas Cowboys. December was to be a mixed month as the Redskins missed out on reaching the play-offs, a 31-23 loss to Arizona Cardinals was followed by a narrow 27-22 win over division rivals Philadelphia Eagles.
Play-off hopes hung on the games just before Christmas which saw a 26-15 loss to Carolina Panthers followed by a superb 41-21 win over Chicago Bears. The final regular game of the season would come in January as Washington ended 2016 with a 8-6-1 record.
Football time now and non-attendance first in the shape of Liverpool who went through November unbeaten with an opening 6-1 romp at home to Watford followed by a 0-0 draw with Southampton and 2-0 win over Sunderland. The month ended with a 2-0 win in the EFL Cup over Leeds United ahead of a packed December which began with a 4-3 loss to AFC Bournemouth. A 2-2 draw with West Ham United was followed by consecutive away wins at Midlesbrough (3-0) and in the Merseyside derby at Everton (1-0). The year of 2016 ended on a high with a 4-1 win over Stoke City and 1-0 win over Manchester City.Play-off hopes hung on the games just before Christmas which saw a 26-15 loss to Carolina Panthers followed by a superb 41-21 win over Chicago Bears.
